A vulnerability was found in Indymedia Oscailt 3.3 and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument obj_id with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in index.php in Oscailt 3.3, when Use Friendly URL s is disabled, allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the obj_id parameter.
