A vulnerability was found in IBM Cognos Express 9.0 (Business Process Management Software). It has been rated as critical. IBM Cognos Express 9.0 allows attackers to obtain unspecified access to the Tomcat Manager component, and cause a denial of service, by leveraging hardcoded credentials.
The weakness was disclosed 02/03/2010 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at vupen.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2010-0557 since 02/05/2010. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
