A vulnerability has been found in osTicket 1/1.2.7/1.3.0/1.6 (Ticket Tracking Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the file ajax.php of the component JAXP. The manipulation of the argument input with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. SQL injection vulnerability in scp/ajax.php in osTicket before 1.6.0 Stable allows remote authenticated users, with "Staff" permissions, to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the input parameter.
The weakness was disclosed 02/09/2010 by Nahuel Grisolia (Website). The advisory is shared at osticket.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-0605 since 02/11/2010. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. By approaching the search of inurl:ajax.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
Upgrading to version 1.2.7 eliminates this vulnerability.
