A typo in the administrator permission check in the ACL Manager plugin (plugins/acl/ajax.php) in DokuWiki before 2009-12-25b allows remote attackers to gain privileges and access closed wikis by editing current ACL statements, as demonstrated in the wild in January 2010.

The weakness was presented 01/13/2010 (Website). The advisory is shared at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-0288 since 01/12/2010. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.
