Mozilla Firefox 3.6 before 3.6.2 does not offer plugins the expected window.location protection mechanism, which might allow remote attackers to bypass the Same Origin Policy and conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks via vectors that are specific to each affected plugin.
The weakness was shared 03/25/2010 by Blake Kaplan as Bug 541530 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-0170. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
