A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in Pulse CMS up to 1.18 (Content Management System). Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown function of the file delete.php. The manipulation of the argument f with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in delete.php in Pulse CMS before 1.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary files via directory traversal sequences in the f parameter.

The weakness was released 03/24/2010 (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-0989 since 03/18/2010. The exploitation appears to be easy.
