The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. This is going to have an impact on availability. CVE summarizes:
Multiple stack-based buffer overflows in Tembria Server Monitor before 5.6.1 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted (1) GET, (2) PUT, or (3) HEAD request, as demonstrated by a malformed GET request containing a long PATH_INFO to index.asp.
The weakness was disclosed 04/14/2010 by Lincoln (Website). The advisory is available at corelan.be. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2010-1316. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details and a public exploit are known.
