A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Bhavesh Chauhan Com Quicknews (affected version not known). This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument newsid with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in the Quick News (com_quicknews) component for Joomla! allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the newsid parameter in a view_item action to index.php.
