A vulnerability has been found in givesight Com Powermail 1.53 and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown functionality of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument controller with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. Directory traversal vulnerability in the givesight PowerMail Pro (com_powermail) component 1.5.3 for Joomla! allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files and possibly have unspecified other impact via a .. (dot dot) in the controller parameter to index.php.
