A vulnerability was found in XOOPS up to 2.0.x (Content Management System). It has been classified as critical. This affects the function resend of the file activate.php of the component Profiles. The activation resend function in the Profiles module in XOOPS before 2.4.1 sends activation codes in response to arbitrary activation requests, which allows remote attackers to bypass administrative approval via a request involving activate.php.
The weakness was disclosed 05/07/2010 (Website). The advisory is shared at xoops.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2009-4851 since 05/07/2010.
