Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Csphere ClanSphere. Affected is the function cs_sql_select of the file generate.php of the component MySQL Database. The manipulation of the argument s_email with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in ClanSphere 2009.0.3 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via (1) the IP address to the cs_getip function in generate.php in the Captcha module, or (2) the s_email parameter to the cs_sql_select function in the MySQL database driver (mysql.php).
The weakness was presented 05/04/2010 by Stefan Esser (Website). The advisory is available at trac.clansphere.de. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2010-1865 since 05/07/2010.
