A vulnerability has been found in Percha Com Perchacategoriestree 0.6 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument controller with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in the Percha Multicategory Article (com_perchacategoriestree) component 0.6 for Joomla! allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files and possibly have unspecified other impact via a .. (dot dot) in the controller parameter to index.php.
