A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in WebMaster Solutions WmsCms 2.0. This issue affects an unknown code block of the file default.asp/printpage.asp. The manipulation as part of a Eingabe leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in WmsCms 2.0 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) search, (2) sbr, (3) pid, (4) sbl, and (5) FilePath parameters to default.asp; and the (6) sbr, (7) pr, and (8) psPrice parameters to printpage.asp.

The weakness was shared 06/06/2010 by MG with Ariko-Security as 65465 as not defined knowledge base article (OSVDB). It is possible to read the advisory at osvdb.org. The vendor was not involved in the public release. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2010-2317 since 06/17/2010. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

A public exploit has been developed by MG and been published even before and not after the advisory. The exploit is available at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 27 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k. By approaching the search of inurl:default.asp/printpage.asp it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
