The Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) implementation in WebKit in Apple Safari before 5.0 on Mac OS X 10.5 through 10.6 and Windows, and before 4.1 on Mac OS X 10.4, does not properly handle the :visited pseudo-class, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information about visited web pages via a crafted HTML document.
The weakness was presented 06/11/2010 by Masahiro Yamada (TippingPoint) with Context Information Security (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-2264 since 06/11/2010. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 05/26/2025).
