The webdav_mount function in webdav_vfsops.c in the WebDAV kernel extension (aka webdav_fs.kext) for Mac OS X 10.6 allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) via a mount request with a large integer in the pa_socket_namelen field.

The weakness was shared 08/02/2010 by Dan Rosenberg as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-1794 since 05/06/2010. The exploitation appears to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.
