The EMC Celerra Network Attached Storage (NAS) appliance accepts external network traffic to IP addresses intended for an intranet network within the appliance, which allows remote attackers to read, create, or modify arbitrary files in the user data directory via NFS requests.

The weakness was disclosed 07/29/2010 by Trustwave's SpiderLabs with Trustwave's SpiderLabs (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at trustwave.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-2860 since 07/27/2010. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
