A vulnerability was found in RealNetworks RealPlayer SP up to 1.0.1 (Multimedia Player Software). It has been classified as very critical. Affected is some unknown processing. Integer overflow in RealNetworks RealPlayer 11.0 through 11.1 and RealPlayer SP 1.0 through 1.1.4 on Windows might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted QCP file that triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.

The weakness was shared 08/30/2010 by Behrang Fouladi (TippingPoint) with TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative (Website). The advisory is shared for download at oval.mitre.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2010-0116 since 01/04/2010. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
