A vulnerability was found in Scott James Remnant mountall 1.0/2.14 and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file mountall.c. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a race condition vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-362. mountall.c in mountall before 2.15.2 uses 0666 permissions for the root.rules file, which allows local users to gain privileges by modifying this file.
