The weakness was released 10/06/2010 by Tavis Ormandy with Google Security Team (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-3626 since 09/28/2010. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
