Directory traversal vulnerability in the web-based administration interface on the Camtron CMNC-200 Full HD IP Camera and TecVoz CMNC-200 Megapixel IP Camera with firmware 1.102A-008 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the URI.
The weakness was presented 11/12/2010 by Trustwave's SpiderLabs with Trustwave's SpiderLabs (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at trustwave.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-4231 since 11/11/2010. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1006 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
