A vulnerability was found in Red Hat spice-activex (version unknown). It has been classified as critical. This affects the function ImpersonateNamedPipeClient. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a race condition vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-362. The product contains a code sequence that can run concurrently with other code, and the code sequence requires temporary, exclusive access to a shared resource, but a timing window exists in which the shared resource can be modified by another code sequence that is operating concurrently. Race condition in the SPICE (aka spice-activex) plug-in for Internet Explorer in Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) Manager before 2.2.4 allows local users to create a certain named pipe, and consequently gain privileges, via vectors involving knowledge of the name of this named pipe, in conjunction with use of the ImpersonateNamedPipeClient function.
