A vulnerability was found in SAP Crystal Reports 2008 (Reporting Software). It has been declared as very critical. Heap-based buffer overflow in the CrystalReports12.CrystalPrintControl.1 ActiveX control in PrintControl.dll 12.3.2.753 in SAP Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 Fix Pack 3.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long ServerResourceVersion property value.
The weakness was released 12/14/2010 by Dmitriy Pletnev with Secunia Research (Website). The advisory is shared for download at service.sap.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2010-2590 since 07/01/2010. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
