A vulnerability was found in Cisco Webex Advanced Recording Format Player up to 26.48 (Unified Communication Software) and classified as very critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown part in the library atas32.dll. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Multiple buffer overflows in the Cisco WebEx Recording Format (WRF) and Advanced Recording Format (ARF) Players T27LB before SP21 EP3 and T27LC before SP22 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted (1) .wrf or (2) .arf file, related to atas32.dll, a different vulnerability than CVE-2010-3041, CVE-2010-3042, and CVE-2010-3043.
The weakness was presented 02/02/2011 by Core Security (TippingPoint) with Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs (Website). The advisory is available at cisco.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-3044 since 08/17/2010. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 03/27/2019).
Upgrading to version 26.49 eliminates this vulnerability.
