A vulnerability was found in Vanilla Forums up to 2.0.16 (Forum Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file index.php. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in index.php in Vanilla Forums before 2.0.17 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the Target parameter in a /entry/signin action.
The weakness was presented 01/27/2011 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at yehg.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2011-0526 since 01/20/2011. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
