ZOHO ManageEngine ADSelfService Plus before 4.5 Build 4500 allows remote attackers to reset user passwords, and consequently obtain access to arbitrary user accounts, by providing a user id to accounts/ValidateUser, and then providing a new password to accounts/ResetResult.
The weakness was shared 02/10/2011 by Core Security with CORE Security Technologies as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-3273 since 09/09/2010. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
