A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Linux Kernel 2.6.16.9 (Operating System). This affects the function br_mdb_ip_get. The br_mdb_ip_get function in net/bridge/br_multicast.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.35-rc5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and system crash) via an IGMP packet, related to lack of a multicast table.
