Buffer overflow in the Mach-O input file loader in Hex-Rays IDA Pro 5.7 and 6.0 allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted Macho-O file.

The weakness was disclosed 02/09/2011 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at hex-rays.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2011-1049 since 02/21/2011. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
