Google Chrome before 10.0.648.127 on Linux does not properly mitigate an unspecified flaw in an X server, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via vectors involving long messages.
The weakness was disclosed 03/10/2011 by Daniel Divricean (SirDarckCat) with Google Chrome Security Team (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at xforce.iss.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2011-1413. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
