A vulnerability has been found in Apache Tomcat up to 7.0.9 (Application Server Software) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component Access Restriction. Apache Tomcat 7.x before 7.0.10 does not follow ServletSecurity annotations, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions via HTTP requests to a web application.
The weakness was published 03/02/2011 (Website). The advisory is available at svn.apache.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2011-1088 since 02/24/2011. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
It is declared as proof-of-concept.
