Details
A vulnerability was found in Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 on Oracle9i Application Server 1.0.2.2 (Supply Chain Management Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown part of the component HTTP Server. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a input validation vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-20. The product receives input or data, but it does
not validate or incorrectly validates that the input has the
properties that are required to process the data safely and
correctly. Impacted is integrity. The summary by CVE is:
The mod_proxy module in the Apache HTTP Server 1.3.x through 1.3.42, 2.0.x through 2.0.64, and 2.2.x through 2.2.21, when the Revision 1179239 patch is in place, does not properly interact with use of (1) RewriteRule and (2) ProxyPassMatch pattern matches for configuration of a reverse proxy, which allows remote attackers to send requests to intranet servers via a malformed URI containing an @ (at sign) character and a : (colon) character in invalid positions. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2011-3368.
The weakness was shared 07/17/2012 as Patch Day July 2012 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at oracle.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2011-4317 since 11/04/2011. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
