Buffer overflow in Adobe Audition 3.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted Audition Session (aka .ses) file.
The weakness was disclosed 05/16/2011 by Gjoko Krstic with Zero Science Lab (Website). The advisory is shared at zeroscience.mk. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2011-0614 since 01/20/2011. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. A public exploit has been developed by LiquidWorm in Perl and been published even before and not after the advisory. It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com.
