rendering/RenderBox.cpp in WebCore in WebKit before r86862, as used in Google Chrome before 11.0.696.71, does not properly render floats, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via unknown vectors that lead to a "stale pointer."

The weakness was disclosed 05/26/2011 by Martin Barbella (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at trac.webkit.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2011-1804 since 04/20/2011. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
