A vulnerability has been found in Zabbix up to 1.0 (Network Management Software) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the file acknow.php. The manipulation of the argument backurl with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-79. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in acknow.php in Zabbix before 1.8.6 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the backurl parameter.
The weakness was disclosed 08/19/2011 by Damian (Website). The advisory is available at zabbix.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2011-2904 since 07/27/2011. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

It is assigned to the family Fedora Local Security Checks.
Upgrading to version 1.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
