A vulnerability was found in Apple Safari up to 5.1.0 (Web Browser). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block. Directory traversal vulnerability in Apple Safari before 5.1.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript code, in a Safari Extensions context, via a crafted safari-extension: URL.
The weakness was disclosed 10/14/2011 (Website). The advisory is shared at xforce.iss.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2011-3229. The attack may be initiated remotely.
