A vulnerability was found in HP OpenView Network Node Manager 7.53 (Network Management Software). It has been declared as very critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code. The weakness was presented 11/02/2011 by Aniway.Anyway with TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securitytracker.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2011-3166 since 08/16/2011. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 11/25/2021).

A public exploit has been developed in Ruby. It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept.
