A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Novell Iprint Open Enterprise Server 2 (Printing Software) (version now known). This issue affects the function GetDriverSettings in the library nipplib.dll. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Stack-based buffer overflow in the GetDriverSettings function in nipplib.dll in the iPrint client in Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (aka OES2) SP3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long (1) hostname or (2) port field.
