A vulnerability was found in Mozilla Bugzilla (Bug Tracking Software). It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown functionality of the file jsonrpc.cgi. Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in jsonrpc.cgi in Bugzilla 3.5.x and 3.6.x before 3.6.8, 3.7.x and 4.0.x before 4.0.4, and 4.1.x and 4.2.x before 4.2rc2 allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of arbitrary users for requests that use the JSON-RPC API.
The weakness was published 02/02/2012 by Mario Gomes as Bug 718319 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is available at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-0440 since 01/09/2012. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
