A vulnerability was found in Novell iPrint (Printing Software). It has been rated as very critical. This issue affects an unknown function in the library nipplib.dll. The manipulation of the argument client-file-name with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Heap-based buffer overflow in nipplib.dll in Novell iPrint Client before 5.78 on Windows allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted client-file-name parameter in a printer-url, a different vulnerability than CVE-2011-1705.
