uaddUpAdmin.asp in Advantech/BroadWin WebAccess before 7.0 does not properly perform authentication, which allows remote attackers to modify an administrative password via a password-change request.

The weakness was published 02/21/2012 by Luigi Auriemma with Information and Communication Security Technology (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2012-0239 since 12/21/2011. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
