A vulnerability has been found in Cisco Small Business Srp527w-u up to 1.1.25 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code block of the component Firmware. Directory traversal vulnerability in the Local TFTP file-upload application on Cisco SRP 520 series devices with firmware before 1.1.26 and SRP 520W-U and 540 series devices with firmware before 1.2.4 allows remote authenticated users to upload software to arbitrary directories via unspecified vectors, aka Bug ID CSCtw56009.
The weakness was released 02/24/2012 by Michal Sajdak with Securitum as cisco-sa-20120223-srp500 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at tools.cisco.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2012-0365 since 01/04/2012. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The requirement for exploitation is a single authentication.
