A vulnerability was found in webglimpse up to 2.17.1. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file webglimpse.cgi. webglimpse.cgi in Webglimpse before 2.20.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the query parameter, as exploited in the wild in March 2012.
The weakness was presented 03/20/2012 as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is available at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2012-1795 since 03/20/2012.
