Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in SoftwareRegistration.do in the Storage Manager Profiler in IBM System Storage DS Storage Manager before 10.83.xx.18 on DS Series devices allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the updateRegn parameter.
The weakness was released 06/22/2012 by Gjoko Krstic (Website). The advisory is shared at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2012-2172 since 04/04/2012. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
