A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Libexpat expat up to 2.0.1. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file readfilemap.c. correctly. Impacted is availability. The summary by CVE is:
readfilemap.c in expat before 2.1.0 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (file descriptor consumption) via a large number of crafted XML files.
The weakness was published 07/03/2012 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at lists.apple.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2012-1147 since 02/14/2012.
