A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Piwigo 2.3.3 (Photo Gallery Software). This affects some unknown functionality of the file upgrade.php. The manipulation of the argument language with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in upgrade.php in Piwigo before 2.3.4 allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the language parameter.
