A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in OBM Open Business Management up to 2.4.0. This affects some unknown processing. The manipulation of the argument module with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in exportcsv/exportcsv_index.php in Open Business Management (OBM) 2.4.0-rc13 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the module parameter in an export_page action.
The weakness was disclosed 08/31/2012 by High-Tech Bridge SA with High-Tech Bridge SA (Website). The advisory is shared at htbridge.ch. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2011-5141 since 08/31/2012. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Required for exploitation is a authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1006 for this issue.
