A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in FlatnuX 2011-08-09-2. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file controlcenter.php. The manipulation of the argument dir with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Absolute path traversal vulnerability in controlcenter.php in FlatnuX CMS 2011 08.09.2 allows remote administrators to read arbitrary files via a full pathname in the dir parameter in a contents/Files action.
