It is possible to read the advisory at lists.apple.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with Apple. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2012-3657 since 06/19/2012. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.

Upgrading to version 10.7 eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at apple.com. The problem might be mitigated by replacing the product with Spotify as an alternative. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
