The nssconfigFound function in genkey.pl in crypto-utils 2.4.1-34 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on the "list" file in the current working directory.
The weakness was presented 10/10/2012 by Joe Orton as Bug 849256 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2012-3504 since 06/14/2012. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack needs to be approached locally.
