librdmacm 1.0.16, when ibacm.port is not specified, connects to port 6125, which allows remote attackers to specify the address resolution information for the application via a malicious ib_acm service.

The weakness was presented 10/22/2012 by Florian Weimer with Red Hat Product Security Team as confirmed git commit (GIT Repository). The advisory is available at git.openfabrics.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-4516 since 08/21/2012. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
