The weakness was disclosed 09/07/2012 by Andrzej Dyjak (Senator of Pirates) as 09072012_player as confirmed posting (Website). The advisory is shared for download at service.real.com. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2012-2410 since 04/23/2012. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available.
